2019: Assembly
Works created for the group show entitled Assembly shown in Galerie Roberto and curated by Gwen Bautista
How to Say Hello in Japanese
Notes about the work: The artwork is a bi-directional hieroglyph that tells of two stories in one visual composition. The events in each frame could be read both from left to right and from right to left and produce two endings stemming from one catalytic event. The artwork toys with the idea of varying perspectives, and multiple ways of communication.
Dimensions: 24”x36”
Medium: acrylic on canvas
Feel Like Clockwork
Notes about the work: The artwork is an exploration of creating movement and a full narrative through the use of sequential composition, white space, and spatial reasoning. Abstract elements and geometric shapes all have function in the artwork where each one plays a significant role in showing not only spatial dimensions but also space and time.
