2018: Bootleg Project Paintings and Interactive Installation
These works for the Bootleg Project group show held in Vetro Manila on 2018 consisted of a series of 16 paintings entitled “I Did This (To) Myself” and an interactive silkscreen installation that mimicked the set-up of a sweatshop. The aim of the artist was to:
focus on the process of mass production and bootlegging in fashion
celebrate of DIY fashion
subvert the weaponization of trademark issues (an extortion strategy used by giant companies) through the purposeful production of low-quality prints
present layers of bootlegging through wall-based art and an interactive installation
